Mix of mallard and gadwall

Mix of mallard and gadwall
We opened up our season here in North Texas with a bag limit for 3 of us that went to Lake Lavon (Corp. of Engineers Lake). There were plenty of birds ranging from Mallards, Teal, Gadwall, and Shovellers. We did not see too many other species this past weekend. It is really still too warm and the water levels are down, so it should keep getting better!

Man looks like you guys had a good time. Did Hunter get to hunt this year? I pulled the trigger for the first time today. We only shot one jumping some local ditches. But we did flush 100+ mallards fifty on each side of us. :( bad planning!
